Enchanted-Dreamz.net Information

So, you came to learn about how I got where I am today? I guess I'll tell you.....

Lets see.....where do I start? Hmmm, ok. My first website was opened in the summer of 2000 using Maxpages and a pagebuilder. -.-' I was extremely inexperienced. It was called 'Vikki's Sailor Moon Romance Page'. Original, huh? The background was always some kind of pink. One time it was neon pink. And I would pick a picture and just stamp it in the middle. My content was even worse. I had next to nothing, really. I had profiles, a tiny image gallery, and my fanfiction.

After a few months, I moved to Geocities. I still had no knowledge of html, so, I used a pagebuilder. My layout (can you really call it a layout?) and content stayed the same. Once, I downloaded a real layout and tried putting it up, but I barely knew what I was doing, and Geocities kept screwing it up. So, I moved to Angelfire. I used their pagebuilder for quite a while.

Other people's websites inspired me to start studying html. I bought some books and read tutorials all over the web. When I finally had enough guts, I began using html. I wanted to make my own layouts instead of using other people's, so, I went shopping and bought Photoshop 12. A waste of $50, because I couldn't use it for graphics. A few weeks later, I went and bought Paint Shop Pro. I just let it sit on my shelf for a month or two before I was even motivated enough to use it. During that time, I changed the name of my site and converted it to a fanfiction site. That's when I made version one of STA. It wasn't too bad for the first time, but I was so happy I made it.

Several months later, I changed my site again, this time to a graphics only site. I made a version two, and submited STA to directories when I was brave enough to and thought STA was good enough to be accepted.

I was hosted once on hakkyou.net, but it shut down. Therefore, I was forced to move somewhere else. After a few months of begging my parents, I finally was able to buy my own domain. Then came the birth of Enchanted Designs, because my domain name is Enchanted-Dreamz.net. It began to grow, but I wanted more, so I went to Magdeline.com and purchased a CMS where people could register and submit their own graphics. It was great for a while, but I got caught up in 'quantity' and leaft 'quality' on the side of the road for a while, I'm ashamed to admit. After a hiatus from school and web design, I came back and decided to overhaul the entire website and move it. I deleted all users and graphics (including my own) and began to work from the bottom, taking my time. I want this site to be known for the quality of the graphics offered. : )

Comments: In this layout, I wanted to do a new take on things. Most of my layouts on the old E-Designs had been a three column set up and all of the colors were basically the same color, just different shades. However, I do still like simple layouts. This layout exceeded my expectations. I'm very pleased with it. : )
